Biochemistry response of Paronychia microphylla Phil., Ambrosia artmisiodes Phil. and Crotón ruizianus Müll. Arg. against mercury for its bioprospecting in phytoremediation

Mercury (Hg) is one of the most toxic heavy metals, and it largely used in illegal gold extraction Peru. We evaluated tolerance to Hg Paronychia microphylla Phil, Ambrosia artemisioides Willd Croton ruizianus Müll. Arg. plants, using controlled concentrations (5, 10 80 mg L-1). Two groups were identified according antioxidant enzymatic bioaccumulation response, but changes soluble protein suggest other mechanisms species. P. has an accumulator performance (BCF = 1.16 at L-1); contrast, C. a exclusor behavior with low BCF better response. In that sense, concentration 5 L-1 triggers oxidative stress increases levels malondialdehyde proline, when treatment there regulation system. Among three species, lower bioaccumulation.
